Can Jira DVCS Smart commits use the branch name?

I'm using the DVCS in Jira and follow git-flow, so I create a feature branch for every issue/feature using the id , e.g, FRED-1

If I put the issue id in a commit it links to the issue, but if I forget then this doesn't happen. Can't Jira realise that a commit it linked to ticket using the branch name?
