Can forms for 'internal use only' be created?

Matt Viklund June 19, 2018

My administration wants some forms setup in Jira Service Desk that can only be accessed and filled out by internal staff.

I can certainly create forms to be filled out in the customer portal... but of course, that makes them accessible to anyone that can assess the customer portal - like... oh, I don't know... customers? Duh.

I don't see any option to mark groups or fields as private or hidden or whatever.

Can this even be done?

I don't think this can even be done.

I mean, where would staff even access forms to fill out except in the customer portal???

Hello Matt,

This can't be done within one service desk portal. You'd have to separate this into two projects, and use the permissions there. But this is not ideal because the queues, reports, etc would be separate as well.

Given that, the only thing that you can really do is to submit the tickets through the ordinary Create screen rather than through the portal. It would be a nice addition if we could apply permissions to request types.
