Can i change epic to sub-task of another epic?

Hello @Jane Im ,

 

Yes, If you Have "Move Issue" Permission  & "Create Issue" Permission in Jira Project.

Note - If the epic already having Sub-tasks in it. the system will not allow converting into a sub-task.

Yes, you can convert an Epic to a sub-task.  Use "move" or "convert to subtask" from the options.

But bear in mind that it will no longer be an Epic, and you will lose its epic-link, colour, status and so-on.

Yes you should be able to. I would however check if the epic is connected to other tasks first since they will likely still refer to its Epic link.

  • Open epic
  • Click the …
  • Select convert to sub-task
  • Select the other Epic as parent.

This should be the expected steps.
