I am facing the situation were the organisation has a server version running for JIRA and would like to have JIRA Servicedesk in the cloud version. Is a link possible? Would it be possible to auto create an issue in JIRA from an action in ticket in JSD cloud? Would JIRa developers be able to comment on JSD tickets in cloud?
Hi @Henry Snijders,
That is absolutely possible. The best option would indeed be to go for a synchronization app.
We are the developers of the Exalate Issue Sync app, @Alexey Matveev mentioned.
You'll be able to synchronize/auto-create any issue data between your Jira Server and Jira SD Cloud.
This will happen in real-time. That way, you'll always be in the loop on progress status, comments, attachments and even work-logs or change history.
You'll be able to easily customize exactly what you'd like to sync and who you'd like to sync it with.
One of our teammates recently publish an article on a similar use case (although there a service desk was connected to multiple development projects):
How to sync issues Jira Service Desk with multiple Jira Projects . This article has a video, demonstrating how Exalate can solve the use case.
If you want, I can show you exactly how it would work for your use case through a one-on-one demo. You can book one here: Book A Demo.
Let me know!
Cheers,
Stefaan
Thnx Stefaan, I will discuss this with the customer to see if this could solve some issues. I will get back on this later on. Have a nice weekend!

Hello,
It is not possible to create an issue from one Jira instance in another Jira instance out of the box and synchronize them. You would need an add-on like Excalate or Backbone Issue.
