Can move issues per drag and drop only to new board column

Imre Antalfy January 29, 2024

Hey there

I'm running a project "A" with my group which includes the following columns and statuses

  • to do
  • in progress
  • waiting for external
  • done

project A drag and drop.png

I opened a new project "B" and copied everything from project "A". Everything works fine, until I add a new column an map the waiting for external to it. Then i cannot drag and drop issues to progress or done anymore. only between to do and the new column. The highlights are also not visible in the columns of Project "B", in contrary to Project "A"

i tried so search for more than an hour, tried the permissions, workflow, made a new project, made a new board. I have no clue whats happening, as in Project "A" it works fine.permission.pngworkflow.png

Any ideas?

Hi @Imre Antalfy

Maybe it's because of workflow structure that you have, try to make transitions also in between the status and check if the issue gets resolved.

Hi @Imre Antalfy

It occurs due many possible reasons like

1. Might be you don't have edit access(only browse access)

2. There are conditions in the workflow that are blocking you from using the transitions(Also check the status - does it have any "workflow properties" applied?)

3. You've got broken status data in the database, caused by a crash or a broken app or script

I would recommend re-make the workflow and apply it to the project then applying the original workflow back.

I hope that it will help you.
