Hi Team,
Can some one help me out how to add the field drop down information.
I have created a dropdown in Jira form under that i was segregated the tickets as L1, L2 and L2.
mentioned in the Attachement please find the same.
I want to put some description for L1----Critical Priority tickets
L2----- High Priority tickets
L3------Low Priority tickets
But I want to put this things in the "Help" section so that user will understand that L1 are belongs to Critical and so on..
Hi @Sreenadh ,
Welcome to the community !!
You cannot add description to the field Values.
But I have a workaround.
1. Add description to the required field in settings --> Custom field.
Description will be displayed in all projects where this custom field is used.
2. Add description to the field at Field configuration level.
The same description will be shown only in projects which uses same field configuration.
i.e. Go to project settings --> Issues --> Fields.
Make note of Field configuration used by project
Now go to admin settings --> Issues --> Field Configuration --> Click Configure against the project Field configuration
Search for the required field (Example: Incident category) and click Edit
Add below lines in the description section
L1----Critical Priority tickets
L2----- High Priority tickets
L3------Low Priority tickets
Click Update
This is how it looks when in create screen

The steps I mentioned is for company managed project.

Hello @Sreenadh
Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
You can add a "description" to this field, which is going to be displayed right below the field.
In order to achieve it, on the field configuration (in Jira Admin > Issues > Custom Fields), you should add the desired description.
Regards,
Eugenio
