Can someone guide me to how to copy a project (with all it's Epics and linked issues)?

Vai Cheung March 7, 2022

I have tried using Deep Clone, and when I follow the instructions to do this I realise that the Deep Clone app only clones certain components. I found that it will clone the project and it's epics and issues, but all the linked issues in epics are not replicated. Am I doing something wrong? The Deep Clone app FAQs suggesting using 'copy' project in Jira, but I don't see the option to Copy in the ellipsis when I go to my projects list. This is pretty frustrating. We have workflow where we have predefined tasks that we wish to follow, and I'm already using many workarounds to get this in Jira (we're currently migrating away from Asana to Jira, and Asana natively has a template feature, I'm having to find all sorts of workarounds to get this process into Jira!) - can someone help please?

Thanks!

Welcome to the community, @Vai Cheung,

I am Marlene, product manager of Deep Clone for Jira.

I am happy to hear that you solved your issue :)

It is possible to clone company-managed projects, along with epics, issues, components, and versions.

If you have any further questions or feedback about our app, don't hesitate to contact us directly. We're always happy to help and curious about your feedback.
