Can't Associate Sub-Tasks with a Project

Hello! I'm unable to associate a sub-task with a project in the set-up area of JIRA. Anyone able to advise how to get a project on that pick-list?

Hello,

If it is a next-gen project, then you can not associate a sub task with a next-gen project.

Same issue here: since it is mandatory for me to create sub-tasks associated to a ticket, is there a better way rather than deleting the whole project and start anew with a traditional-gen project?

More in general, I regretfully started my first project as a next-gen without knowing that next-gen means 'not ready yet': what is the upside that next-gen brought to the table of jira?
