Can't Attach images to Tickets in JIRA

I cannot for the life of me get attachments to save on my tickets. Whether I drag and drop, create them as a file and add them via the attachment button, and regardless of their format (png, jpg, etc) I always get the same preview failed and when I save I get the error message ATTACHMENT_VALIDATION_ERROR

This is all in the most recent version of Chrome

Is it just images or does it affect other file types?

The reason I ask is that there are permissions of whether you can attach files in a project.

You're a hero, I just rechecked our schemas and indeed someone made a new one that didn't include the permission.
