Can't assign issues to users

Good Morning,

Since installing the New JIRA Experience, I've run into an issue that I am no longer able to assign issues to users. We have not change any of our setting around user permissions and I am an Admin. Any ideas why this is and if I need to do something different?

Being a Jira admin has nothing to do with Jira Project permissions. Your user needs to have permission to "assign issues" in the Permission Scheme(s) in use on Projects. Check which Permission Scheme is in use on a sample Project and verify that you are a member of whatever the "assign issues" permission is granted to. This can be a Project Role, Group, etc.
