Can't edit a permission scheme despite I am a jira-administrator member, any help please?

Basically I am creating a new group to have limited access to a specific project, for this I need to add that group the permission scheme "browse project" as per Atlassian documentation and on the following link : https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/How-do-I-add-a-user-and-allow-them-access-to-only-one-project/qaq-p/253905

However, when trying to add the group to that scheme, I click "grant" and it just blank out and stays there forever - I thought it might take some time so didnt cancel or close the page and today I came back to the office and found it in the exact same way - could anyone please help me to get this sorted?

Our Jira server version is 8.0.2

Did you happen to try a different browser as well?  If it fails there and is persistent I would reach out to Atlassian Support as this seems like a bug to me.

Hi Jack - thanks for taking your time to reply - was just about to comment that it worked when used edge rather than firefox - noticed it after some errors pointing to Mozilla browser :)
