I am using the Jira service ticket feature. I am new to Jira. I am trying to have different folders that filter by specific characteristics like the job being opened, closed, it being assigned to me, etc.. I tried to use a filter on a custom column that I created. It isn't allowing me to filter. How do I solve this. Hopefully that makes sense. Thanks!
Hi Nicholas,
Are you using Jira service management here or Jira software? Would you mind sharing a screenshot of what you're looking at and what you're attempting to do? I'm not quite following you here.
I am using the service management. Sorry, I didn't realize that you could insert a picture. For example, I made a custom column called assistant. I want to filter service task that are assigned to the current user. When I click on it, it automatically saves as all so it won't filter. It isn't working on the other custom columns I created too. I'm not sure if there is a setting that I need to change or what. Hopefully that makes sense.

Ok, I believe That you are restricted due to the fact that you are using the basic filter versus the advanced JQL filter. Can you click on the advanced link and see if you can modify the JQL to indicate "...and assistant = currentuser()"

I have one more question. Do you know if it is possible to filter a date by if it has passed yet. E.g. I have a column for estimated call back time. I want two folders, one that has all the tickets with the time in the future and one with the time that has in the past. As shown in the picture, one is in 3 days and the other was 3 hours ago. So those should be in separate folders as the one I need to call and the other I have a few days. Hopefully that makes sense.
