I want to add "due date" in a ticket, but can't find it from the Issue layout. What's the problem?
can you make sure that the field has been added to the global screen configuration for the project and is available in the project? You can find instructions in the Atlassian documentation:

Kindly check in the Screen option (just below the Layout) and select the screen and add the Due Date in the list.
If the above doesn't work - may ask you Jira admin to add Due date to PBS: Kanban Default issue screen. Once added, the due date will be visible to the above layout.
