Hi,
I am trying to use 'Advanced Roadmap - Capacity planning' to estimate ETA for a Project that has say 100 issues but only 10 are in the current sprint.
In the Sprint Capacity Management view, I can only see issues that belong to closed, open or future sprints (10 in my example) but not the ones in the backlog (90 issues in my example)
I don't want to move issues from backlog to the future sprint in Jira directly because that would make the scrum team really unhappy. I want to see issues in the backlog so that i can assign Sprint in roadmap sandbox mode only, estimate the max number of sprints needed for rest of the 90 issues and discard changes completely. is this possible?
Info on Plan setup
1) Plan Issue Source = Sprint Board
2) Shared team added to the plan, velocity updated and linked to the same Sprint Board
3) Sprint Capacity planning view is grouped by Team
4) created empty future sprints in Jira (without any issues)
5) assigned dummy story points to the issues in the backlog in Jira
Thanks in advance,
GK
Solution:
By Default the Roadmap, filters the issues by Future Sprint only. ie it unchecks Closed Sprint, Open Sprint and also 'No Sprint'.
'No Sprint' filter value was the catch. By clearing all the filters , I was able to see issues from the backlog. All good with the Roadmap, it was only my ignorance :-)

Gowtam
