I created a new issue type "mynewsubtype" of type sub-task in my project XYZ. The new sub-task type has screens, issue type screen schemes and belongs to issue type schema for project XYZ.
Despite this, when I click on the menu "More > Create sub-task" I only see one custom type of sub-task "mysubtype", and I do not see the new type "mynewsubtype" nor the generic default type "sub-task". I cannot change the Issue type drop-down list.
I have already done this type of customization in another project and it works very well, I can't understand why in this one I only see one type of sub-task (not even the default one) and the drop-down list is blocked
thanks for help
Hi @Katia Castiglioni _Hel Maedb_
Since you've already checked the basic stuff that needs to be configured to work with the new sub-task issue type, I'm just trying to think out of the box and suggest reviewing a couple of extra items:
mynewsubtype
Is it missing from the create screen, or doesn't it have a value context for this issue type/project? Also, have you checked the "Create Issues" permissions for that issue type specifically?. Sometimes, permissions are filtered by issue type using workflow conditions or security levels. Tricky thing!
If you try creating a sub-task using the "Create" dialog, does the issue type dropdown behave differently there?
