Can transition checks be used for multiple workflows ?

Hi,

My question is can we create global transition checks, and use them in multiple workflows, instead of creating new checks for every workflow that are copies of each other ?

Thank you

Hi Aisha,

There is no such option nor do I think it is technically possible.

The way forward is to typically use a single workflow and use it in multiple projects (does not necessarily need to use the same Workflow Scheme, but doing so is a much better and cleaner practice to be able to recognize that the workflow is part of a template).

Anyhow then if you need a different check for different projects where the workflow is used in, you could likely use variables in whichever validators/conditions you need. Those variables however won't be doable with clean Jira install - you would be needing an addon of some sort that can offer this (JSU, JWME, ScriptRunner to name a few).

But all in all just to give a quick answer - nope for "global transitions checks".

@Radek Dostál Hi. Thank you for the comment.

How about I want to copy the transition checks to multiple already active workflows ?
