Why can´t we add a task of an other project to a story and show the story as a swimlane to the related tasks?

Project BKD: Task1

Project APP: Task 18

Project WEB: Task 5

Every of them related to Story 2 of Project Main in Sprint 9.

Swimlane Stories shows related Tasks...

Hello,
thank you for the response yes, it shows all tasks from the other projects and the stories from the main project in the backlog.
With portfolio I was able to give the task a parent link to a story that I was able to see the connections in the backlog between a story and a task of the other projects.
But I wasn’t able to set a swimlane with stories and the connected tasks under the swimlane. Beware, we are not talking about sub-tasks. The Tasks are coming from the other projects. I tried it with queries and with the pre-defined story swimlane. With epics it works, because they have a clear relationship.
We need this feature to see how much tasks from the backend side, app and website are still necessary to solve the story of the main project to give the story to a tester.
Can you please help.BestSara

Hi @sara pfannkuchen

Firstly, your swimlane is based on your board and will only filter items that are already present on your board.

As this is the case, can you confirm that the board already shows these tasks?

If not, the place to start would be adjusting your board filter so it shows all tasks from all related projects. Next create your swimlanes to then categorize these based on your requirement.

Cheers.
