Can we change a standard issuetype to sub-task ?

I have created a custom issuetype with a standard type. Can I change this issuetype to a sub-task ?

You cannot adjust directly, please try the following steps.

1. Create subtask type

2. Migrate standard issues to subtask type

3. Delete standard issuetype
