Can we create a custom button on issue screen programmatically?

Hello,

I want to add a custom button type in the issue screen while creating a new issue and  link the button to a servlet, is there any way to do that. If so please provide me with some references.

I would suggest you perfom a post function or trigger when the issue is created depending on the button pourpose

I had look into the reference you have provided but I have already gone with this methods. 

But I wanna add a button on the issue create screen near any existing custom field. But I am very thankful for your efforts.
