Can we have 2 or more active sprints in parallel in a single project

Hi all

My question is straight forward. An XYZ company is having total size of 30 team members. Hence they have  3  scrum teams. They are working on the same product. And they are targeting to release the "upgrade version" of the product at the end of each quarter. In the JIRA tool they wish to have "single project name" and " single target release". But they wish to have 3 sprints in the JIRA tool running in parallel. The start date for all 3 sprints is same (Example 16-Dec-19) and the end date is also same ( 27-Dec-19).

NOTE :   As the team size is comparatively small (does not justify the SAFe model ).

Question are as below

  1. Can we create 3 sprint under a single project and run them in parallel?
  2. If the answer is yes, please provide more guidance about " how to do that in JIRA" ?
  3. If we will have 3 sprints in parallel, can we also have 3 boards in parallel ?
  4. Also at the project level can we see the summary of all sprints ?

Regards,

Dipak
