Can we have different JIRA User id mapped to same email id
We want to create multiple login id in JIRA mapped with same email id
Is it possible?
No.
Email addresses should be unique and distinct, it would be wrong (and in some fields, illegal) to have the same email for different accounts.
Hi @Vaibhav Patki - No this is not possible/allowed.
For testing purposes, I have seen some teams take advantage of doing a plus in an email for gmail addresses. But those in effect go to the same email user.
Can you describe your situation a little more why you would do do what you are asking?

Here our requirement id different Team member has common group email id.
So in our case each team member can have different login id, so issue can be assigned to each team.
Just for setting/resetting password common email id can be use

That would be a very very bad thing to do because it completely breaks all concept of ownership, traceability and responsibility. Which is what Jira is for.
Your "requirement" is wrong, you need to change it.

I agree with Nic - this is not a good way to proceed.
What might help is to add a new group picker custom field or multi-user custom field to be able to notify multiple users about the issue.
But the Assignee should be a single person with a single userid in Jira - not a group or distribution list.

I disagree with Nic - you (John funk ) laid out a perfect use case case - TESTING. There is no concept of ownership in testing. I’d be surprised if anyone asked this question not looking to do this in order to test the system.
Jira - so far as I’ve seen doesnt have the feature Salesforce gives its Admins, where you can easily login as different users to be able to see what they see and troubleshoot their views and lists and permissions. - would be awesome (or better yet you can do that here but I’ve not found the way yet and someone can help me)
thanks

Actually - just saw that you can do this testing thing i described above - a much better way of testing user views- https://support.atlassian.com/user-management/docs/log-in-as-another-user/
