Can we modify a Default Field in Jira ?

Can we modify Default fields(Description, Summary) in Jira Cloud?

I know we can modify the Custom fields that we have created under Issues --> Fields --> Custom fields --> Context and Default Value.

Is there a way to alter the Defaults Fields too??

Welcome to the Community

System Fields in Jira don't have default value!!

If you still need to do that you can use the Jira Automation feature to carry out this task

No this is not possible and you really should not need/want to. what is your goal here?
