So, we have a Kanban board with columns - To Do, In Progress, Waiting, Done. Stories from other boards can be assigned to my team. We can move a story from To Do to In Progress and then to Done, but can not put it in Waiting column. I guess, this is because the other team board does not have a column called "Waiting". Is there any change that can help us get a chance to move a story to waiting.
Sort of yes. To be precise the other project likely does not have the status that is mapped to the Waiting column, which may or may not be “waiting”. For example the mapped status might be “hold” or similar. Regardless of this detail you are likely correct, I say likely because there are other, less likely causes, e.g. the other project may have the underlying status but there are transition restrictions in place.

I can't give you precise instructions as I don't have access to your instance. But basically, if you wish to have this waiting status in the other project then simply edit the workflow and add it. Now, if the two workflows are very similar except for this one missing status then you could opt to simply associate the one workflow with both projects. Regardless, once you have the waiting status in the project then you simply go to board settings > columns and map the waiting status to a new waiting column.
