Can we remove the RSS Feed option form the Activity Stream Gadget in Jira 4.4.5

We do not need the RSS Feed option to be available for the Activity Stream gadget.
Can the RSS Feed icon at the right top corner of the gadget be removed, so that the user is not allowed to click on it.
Please refer the snapshot attached.
Please let us know how can this be achieved. or any other workaround for this.

You may want to edit Velocity template for activity stream to do that and add

<style type="text/css">.activity-stream-feed { display: none; }</style>

BTW. Why you want to remove RSS icon?
