Reviewing this article: https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/create-a-backup-policy-and-run-backups/
I'm wondering if we can schedule weekly backups?
If not through Atlassian, does anyone recommend products like: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1226389/rewind-backups-for-jira?tab=overview&hosting=cloud
Just curious to hear what others are doing to back up their Jira and Confluence data.
Hello @Dee Bernier and welcome to the Atlassian Community!
According to the following article ( https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/export-issues/ ), Atlassian allows you to manually export your Jira data at any time yet if you need to include attachments, avatars, and logos you can back up those data every 48 hours.
When it comes to backup apps, take a look at GitProtect backup and Disaster Recovery software for Jira Software, JSM, JWM, Bitbucket and Confluence (soon). With the solution you can easily schedule automated backups at the most appropriate time for you. Moreover, the backup tool provides full, incremental, and differential backups, unlimited retention, full data coverage, multiple-storage compatibility, replication between the storage destinations to meet the 3-2-1 backup rule, ransomware protection, and restore and Disaster Recovery technology, including point-in-time restore, granular recovery, restore to the same or a new account, restore to your local device, etc. Thus, you can eliminate data loss in any event of failure - human error, infrastructure outage or downtime, ransomware attack and other.
You can learn more about GitProtect backup and DR software on the Atlassian Marketplace: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1228719/gitprotect-io-backups-for-jira-cloud?hosting=cloud&tab=overview . You can try the backup tool free for 14 days, or it's free for up to 10 users.
Or you can schedule a live custom demo to see how GitProtect protects data and ask any questions related to backup: https://calendly.com/d/3s9-n9z-pgc/gitprotect-live-demo?month=2024-06
I hope you will find this answer helpful,
