I work for a company that recently got acquired by a larger company. The larger company want us to migrate to their Jira (on-premises) instance.
As part of this, we want to connect our Source Control solution, which is Bitbucket Cloud currently. The larger company uses Bitbucket Server.
I was asked to find out whether you could have two separate Bitbucket accounts linked to a single Jira instance, or would we need to migrate all of our Bitbucket repositories over into a single Bitbucket account?
Kind regards,
Jonathan
Hello @Jonathan Mackey
Welcome to the community!
Yes, you should have no issues linking a single Jira Cloud site to multiple separate Bitbucket Cloud workspaces.
You may follow the steps below to link Bitbucket Cloud with Jira Cloud: https://support.atlassian.com/bitbucket-cloud/docs/connect-bitbucket-cloud-to-jira-software-cloud/
I hope this helps.
Kind regards,

HI @Jonathan Mackey ,
welcome to the Atlassian Community!
you can link multiple bitbucket instances with a single JIRA instance through application links (https://confluence.atlassian.com/bitbucketserver/link-bitbucket-with-jira-776640408.html)
In this case all Bitbucket servers are shown in the development tools section of a Jira project.
When creating a new branch from the Jira issue, the user can select which Bitbucket server should be used. Unfortunately this happens each and every time in every project.
Hope this helps,
Fabio

Hi Fabio,
is this also possible for Jira Cloud and two Bitbucket Cloud instances?
