Can you 'log time' in jira when committing to git (bitbucket) and have it show up in the ticket?

Duran Goodyear September 16, 2012

When you "commit" to git, and put the ticket acronym at the front of the commit, it shows up perfectly in the jira ticket.

What I would LOVE is that we could track time with that commit message as well.

Does that functionality exist?

Currently, we write something like "ABCD-3 I added some code to the widgets and made them blue"... And, as I said, that shows up perfectly in the ticket.

Maybe there's something like "ABCD-3 I added some code to the widgets and made them blue [5h]" and it makes a time entry for 5 hours with the same message???

Thanks!
