Can you modify a Process within Work Management?

I reviewed this resource for Process Management

I tried it out using the template but can't figure out a way to modify the process. Is this possible? 
I would essentially like to modify statuses and phases. 

Is this the same as modifying the "issue lifecycle"?

Hi William - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

Go to Settings > Issues > Workflows

Then search for the workflow for the project you created. Then click the Edit link. There you can add statuses and change the flow. 

Adding (or deleting) any statuses will automatically change the columns on your board.
