Can you show thumbnails for SVG attachments in Jira Server?

Hi Atlassian Community,

When I upload SVG files as attachments to an issue, the attachment field shows a generic file thumbnail instead of a thumbnail of the actual SVG file, as seen in the attached image.

In the mime.types file on the Jira Server, SVG is added as "image/svg+xml svg svgz".

Previewing the attachment in Jira shows the SVG file correctly, it is only the thumbnail that isn't working.

Is it possible to show thumbnails of the actual content of an SVG file?

I think they where just lazy and the lib that makes the thumbnail for jira did not support svg (usually they support the other common formats except svg). And they did not care enough to fix it for svg's :'(

Although since an svg is scalable, they can just use the original file and scale it down... Seems fairly easy...
