Cannot See "Done" Items in Next Gen Project

Joe Marshall

Hello,

I cannot see any "done" items in my next gen project.

Our Marketing Team is using Jira for managing their projects and this is a requirement of theirs.

Any help or guidance on how to configure this visibility would be helpful.

Thank you.

when were the issues moved to Done. NG automatically removes Done issues after 14d in that status. You currently cannot change this in the default board. However, you can do the following:

  • Create a filter to represent your NG project, e.g. project = next-gen and save it and share as desired.
  • Create a new Kanban board and use the filter. Choose the Location as your profile
  • Go to the NG project and click "Add item" in right sidebar and paste in the URL to the new board.
  • You can now update the board settings as you can w/ any other kanban board.

Thanks for the info, Jack.

That is super helpful. I'm not sure when they were moved to "done" but I'll ask my team member.

Thanks for the intel on filters and boards, also equally helpful for configuring the views.

Cheers, Joe

you can find out quickly simply by doing the following:

  • click on magnifying glass
  • click view all issues under recent issues
  • click in the jql search bar (remove everything that is there) and enter the following project = your-project-name AND status = Done replacing w/ your project name
  • ensure the Resolved field is displayed and if not click on Columns and add it
  • check the date the issues were resolved
