Someone please help! No matter what i do, I cannot get the 'create sprint' button to appear on my backlog. I've tried/done the following:

- Created backlog

- Simplified project filter to just the project name

- Selected Add field rank ASC

- Ensured I have admin permission and double-checked 'manage sprints' is set up

What am I missing??

Hi @James Peck

If this is a Next-Gen Project - ensure you've activated sprints:

  1. Go to Projects Settings > Features
  2. Slide "Sprints" to ON

If this is a Classic Project - I'm pretty sure "Create Sprint" is on the Scrum board by default. A simple check is whether your board is a Scrum or Kanban board - to check this you can either:

  • Go to Search > Boards and look for your board. The type is listed in the "all boards" view.
  • On your Board, go to Reports - if it hasn't got the Burndown or Sprint Report, it's a Kanban Board
  • On the Board, go to options (3-dots icon) > Board Settings. If the "Estimation" option on the left-hand side is missing, it's a Kanban Board

^ Check these as a first step. If it is a Kanban Board, you'll need to create a new board as it's not possible to change the a Classic board's type.

If you do have the "Create Sprint" button and it's just greyed out even with all the above changes, let us know :). A screenshot would also be useful here if this is the case!
