Cannot add a story type issue in my project

I've spent the last 2 weeks setting up my project with all user related scope items as tasks, as the Story option was not available. I'm an administrator in my project, but do not have rights outside it. How can I get a Story type added? Id' like to bulk update those tasks and change them to stories.

Only a Jira Administrator can do this, by adding Story as an available issue type in your project.
