Cannot create child issues and sub tasks

I cannot create a child issue in an epic. The error message is "story points are required." When I am in the ticket and search under configurations, the story point is not found.

1. Check for the Validation and Condition under the Workflow Transition. By default when you create a ticket it can be in Backlog or ToDo status. Maybe there is a post function in the Workflow in that status.
2. To see the fields, in your issue creation screen, in top right section, configuration field display columns, select the story point field.
3. Additionally in the project setting check for the screens. In the screen section you will see with screen is configured for your project. Then check for the create screen option in the Create Screen screen section you should find the default columns that should be displayed in the ticket creation process. Make sure the user story or the story point field is configured there.
4. You will need Jira administrator access to check, validate and modify all these options.

Thank you for the feedback. The solution was simply to use the "Find my field option" and enable Story points on the field screen !
