Cannot import some custom fields in Latest Jira Cloud release

Marc Mastromonico February 17, 2020

With the most recent changes (Feb 10-17, 2020) some of our custom fields can no longer be imported. That is they do not display when importing from CSV. Does anyone know if there is a work around or permission change to allow these field to populate during External System Import?

Hi @Marc Mastromonico

Can you elaborate the scenario please.

Thanks,

Raju

We are currently transitioning our organization to Jira. To facilitate this, we are importing projects using the External System Import and CSV files. During previous imports, custom fields "Story Points" and "Acceptance Criteria" where available in the mapping process. Now they are not.

I have same problem. It worked in January (last import I attempted) but no longer works. Names of my custom fields are "Severity" and "Impact".

Did you find what is causing the issue or a remedy?

@Andy Cortwright

I figured it out. You need to edit the custom field "CONTEXT" to include all issue types.

Marc - I posted a bug with Atlassian. They tried to repro the issue and now it works. I do not know if they fixed something or changed something. Does it work for you?

fyi - your idea above sounds interesting, but would not work in our situation.
