Cannot run/view CFD

CFD does not appear in the reports menu and there's nothing to suggest that it needs to be added/configured - what am I missing?  Thanks for any advice.

Are you using JIRA Software, or just Core?

I'm unsure how to tell.

I have help menu items for both "JIRA Software Help", "JIRA Core Help" but at the page footer it simply says Atlasssian JIRA Project Management Software (v7.1.7#71011-sha1:2526d7c).

The "software help" should mean you've got software, but the really simple way to tell in this case is to click "boards" in the top menu and see what happens.

Once you've found a board, you should find the CFD in the reports section for that board
