Cannot see gitlab repository in Code area

I have seemingly connected JIRA to gitlab via the vendor sponsored gitlab app in JIRA and have setup the integration in GitLab. When I mention a task using the issue key in Gitlab via the branch or commit comments are indeed being written to the task in JIRA. However, the commit does not show under the Development section on the issue screen or in the main Code section there are no repositories.
