Cannot trigger story creation via automation

Hello,

I have enabled Story as an issue type in my project. When I go to create an issue, Story shows up. When I create automation to create a new issue however, Story is not an option (all other issue types show up). What could be going wrong here?

Is this for a company-managed or for a team-managed project?  You can see that at the bottom of the page on the left-side expand area.

Would you please post an image of what you are seeing in the rule?

This is a company managed project. Screenshot attached - no "Story" option in the issue types. Thank you for your help!

Please also answer the questions Stephen and Trudy asked, as they may help clarify what is happening...particularly trying to manually create a Story in the same project where this rule is defined.

A few questions...

• Have you created a Story manually?
• Have you tried searching for Story in the Issue Type box (even though it's not in the list)?
• Can you provide a screenshot of your Issue Type Scheme?

On the Rule Details page what is the Scope for the Rule? Do you have it set to the same project where you want to create a Story and where you are able to create a Story manually?
