I am using JIRA 6.2 on Linux and I cannot upgrade to 6.2.4. The installer says it is not version 4.3 or later.

How about performing the upgrade manually? I believe that normally this is the best and least troublesome method for upgrades, as it has been a tried-and-trusted method for quite some time. :)
