I am trying to find/create the Capacity Report view shown in this link from a Google search, but the instructions dont seem to align to what Jira currently offers (and the page is from 2018 so it could be outdated):

https://confluence.atlassian.com/jiraportfoliocloud/capacity-report-828785331.html

Can someone let me know if such a view exists within Jira Cloud + Advanced Roadmaps today? And if so a step by step guide of how to create it would be helpful.

You kind of get that, but it looks a lot different now:

If you have added teams that have Scrum as the type and set scope and sprint length, then you will see the sprints if you also set the issue source to boards and not projects.

Once you add estimates, each sprint will have a green bar that show how much of the sprint that is allocated. When the scope is larger than the allocated time available, it becomes red.

Clicking the sprint will give you more detail.

Hi @LW

Welcome to a community.

Would be Capacity Planning plugin for Jira useful for you as well? For Capacity planning, I would suggest ActivityTimeline

ActivityTimeline provides numerous reports including timesheets report and capacity report. More about these reports you can read here: How to get Capacity Report for your Team in Jira. You can find the Utilization Report and the Availability Report among many other reports there.

ActivityTimeline provides resource planning and availability on a timeline view. You can track tasks progress, workload, and availability for each employee taking into consideration the part-time, full-time, or even different work schemes for users, and holidays. Workload or availability could be calculated for individuals or teams on the same view.

If you have any additional requirements please feel free to ask me. We can provide a demo session for you if needed.

Hi @LW, perhaps a 3-rd party app could be considered?

Planyway has the workload view and reports, that could be both helpful in the case you described.

In the workload, you can see the over or under load of team members, based on the issues assigned to them. The workload is calculated based on original estimation added to issues and work hours defined for the team.

Oh, and Planyway is free for up to 10 users :)

I'll be here if you have any concerns or questions.

Hello @LW

Welcome to the community.

I don't work much with Advanced Roadmaps, but I don't believe that view exists in the Advanced Roadmaps functionality available in Jira Cloud. Here is a link to the AR documentation concerning Capacity planning, management, and monitoring.
