Hello there,
I suggest, Jira doesn't have such solution but I will try.
Right now we have a custom way to create tickets using JS and the HTML Rendering enabled option. How it works: when someone choose the option of cascade field, the entire layout of fields are changed. Some fields become visible or required, other become hidden or optional.
What I'm asking about. Is it possible to achieve the same in cascade manner with multiple windows? The example of what I mean exists in Jira but only in two steps: you open the ticket creation in a new tab and you see only options for Project and Issue Type. You click next and see the entire screen of fields. That's all. I would like to split this entire screen in more steps. On the first screen I pick the value, the second screen depends on this value, the third screen depends on the previous screens, etc. The simplest reference of what I mean is Google Forms.
Not without a plugin - there's a variety of options: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/search?query=jira%20forms
From past experience you won't get quite the Google Forms or Microsoft Forms level of slickness in terms of branching and conditional revealing etc though.
Online forums and learning are now in one easy-to-use experience.
