Hi All,

I am having an issue with a project where I can see the due date an attachment fields in the create screen but another user can't.

I Have checked and they have all the permissions required and checked the field configuration all good yet still unsure why this seems to be a problem.

I have checked the configure fields cog and still nothing so at a bit of a loss

Hi @Matthieu Imbert

Can the user see them in the Edit/View Screens?

A few things worth checking (even if you mentioned them)...

  • Project/Issue Type: Confirm you're using the same Project and Issue Type when both testing this - as there could be differences between configurations.
  • Configure Fields: This option is available on the Create screen in the top-right corner - and lets each user self-limit the fields on display. Confirm for the other user that no limits are set. If they, toggle it to All Fields and see if problem persists.
  • Permissions: Confirm other user has access to Schedule Issues (for due date) and Create Attachments permissions.

^ I'd check these first. If none of these reveal an issue, let us know :)

You probably already have the answer, but here is a tidbit of info. Due date is a jira system field, and in order to see this field you need manage sprints and schedule issues permissions. If you don’t have that you won’t be able to see due date to edit. If the field has a value you will be able to see it, but if the user still doesn’t have those two permissions they won’t be able to change it.
