Hello Team,
I need help with the following:
I would like to have an automation rule created that will change the Due Date of the linked issues based on the date of the parent issue.
Example: If Due Date on Issue A has a Due Date and I link it to Issue B, the Start Date of Issue B will need to change to the same Due Date as Issue A and the Due Date on Issue B will need to be updated to (new Start Date + duration between the old start date and old due date).
This is what we have now but the variable for the new due date is not updating at all:
Cheers
Hello @Luis Chaves
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
Each time an automation rule runs an entry is generated in the Audit Log for the rule. What are the details in the Audit Log for when the rule runs?
Hello Trudy,
This is what the log is showing:
We would like for the "New Due Date" variable to change based on this:

Hello @Luis Chaves
The log you provided doesn't appear to match the screen images you provided for the rule. The screen image for the rule does not include log entries for "Trigger issue due date".
Please provide screen images that show the entire Automation Rule and the entire audit log entry for its execution.
Calculations can be very dependent on the context in which the calculation step is being done. We can't help debug the problem without complete information.
