I'm so frustrated...right now, from the kanban board, when I click on an issue it brings up the issue in a side bar on the right. There doesn't seem to be any way I can change the status of the ticket (which is what I want to do) or change the width of the view itself.
How do I change it back so that when I click on the issue it opens in a popup (that I can then change the status of the ticket and close).
Right now I'm not seeing any way to close a ticket...
Hi @Mindy Bollinger ,
In Kanban board, you don't have to go to the issue details to close the ticket, what you can do is go to the board settings and add a Column for closed tickets and simply drag the ticket to closed.
I see that you have already TODO and IN PROGRESS, add one more which is CLOSED and make sure that you add a Resolved Issue Screen while transitioning to Closed status.
Yes - but I don't want a closed column - as there are limitations how many it will show and fill up the board (we ran across this before). It'd be nice to find a way to close the ticket another way.
However, I was able to change the personal settings back so it's back to normal.

Hi @Mindy Bollinger ,
It's happening because you've chosen a Classic Kanban project type.
If you want that effect across the board then you should choose a next-gen Kanban project type time.

Hello @Mindy Bollinger , I think you are using an old issue view. To turn back on the new issue view -
Goto Profile and Settings (top right corner) --> Personal Settings --> Toggle the switch for the New Jira issue view under Jira labs. This should bring back the ability of issue to open in a popup.
