Hello,
I know that we have the ability to change the timeline bar for the Epic, but I'd like to change the color of the timeline bars for the Epic tasks below it. Currently, they stick with the parent.
I did turn on the "Issue Color" under the field view configuration for my screens and the color box now appears next to the task, however, the color of the timeline bar doesn't change to the color of the task when I change it. It stays the same color as the parent/Epic.
Can this be fixed or is there somewhere I need to change a setting to make this work?
Thanks!
I am encountering the same issue which contradicts this article Change color of issue schedule bars on your timeline | Jira Software Cloud | Atlassian Support
Are there any plans to fix this flaw? Or is there a proper workaround possible?
In my view using advanced roadmaps is not an appropriate solution or even valid workaround. When managing multi-level projects this would typically not be the place to zoom into the detailed task level.
Hi @Melinda Buffington and welcome to the Community!
I think your observation is correct: on the basic timeline, tasks inherit the colour from their parent epic and I am not aware of any setting to change that.
Since you seem to indicate being on a premium plan, the advanced roadmap (that you can find under plans) has more refined capabilities. The timeline bars there can be coloured by different segments, like status, component, label, ...
Hope this helps!
