Change Notification/Log on Fixed Versions

Is there a way to see or be notified when the contents of a Fixed version change?

I want to show some Release predictability and was hoping this may help

i.e We plan to release 10 items next week, something happens and we only release 2.  We then have a dashboard or notification to say the other 8 were moved from this Fixed version

Hello @Lee Street

There is no native option to build a Release predictability report which for example, shows for a release, 10 issues were planned but only 2 were installed and 8 were moved.

You could use automation to fill in the gap.

Some suggestions:

  • You can set up a rule which notifies/emails you whenever an issue's fixversion is changed.
  • If you want a release dashboard for predictability purposes, you can set up a rule which, whenever a fix version is added to an issue, it copies it over to a specific field (maybe label or some other available field). Then, even if a fix version is removed from a story, this other field will still hold the original value. This way, you can have dashboard reports. Of course for this dashboard logic to work, expectation is that fix version is removed for issues which arent going in a release.

Hope it helps.
