I have a problem about issue assignee email notification.
- I am using JIRA cloud
- Project type is "Classic project"
- Project setting -> Notifications contain event "Issue Assigned" event and "Issue Updated"
- I have proper role in this project
- In my personal setting, "Watch your issues" and "Notifications of your changes" are both enabled.
- I confirm I am watching this issue
I change assignee, and edit the issue (to trigger change event), both not working. No email received.
I tried project type "Next-Gen".
For "next-gen" project, I can receive notification email for both change assignee and update issue events.
I found one bug report on this page,

not sure if cloud version is same or not? Is it issue specifically relating to classic project? or any setting was wrong?
Can someone advice me?

Have your Jira instance got the Outgoing Mail enabled?
Check:

Thanks for your answer. It is enabled.
And if I use project type = next gen, I can receive notification emails. It looks like problem of classic project setting, or JIRA itself.
