Change layouts on existing tickets

Jira, I'm able to adjust the layout of new tickets but the layout is not changed for existing tickets.  I've updated the tickets and it doesn't have an impact on the layout as well.

What do I need to do to update the layout on existing tickets?  It's working for new tickets but not existing ones.

All...I went ahead and submitted a ticket with Atlassian and they confirmed that you can rearranged a screen layout fields and they will apply to any ongoing issues.  Existing issues will not use the new layout.

Hi @Alfredo Negrete  

I think you update the issue screen scheme for create operation only not for edit/view 

please check in the project summary the linked issue screen scheme and updated the linked screen to edit/view operation accordingly to be as same as the create one

I've tried doing that and it's showing the screen layout correctly as updated.  Going to the Screens, Configure Screen, selecting the screen template and it's showing the field layout correctly.

Can you specify the specific steps to get there?

You can go to Project Settings ---> Summary ---> Screens -- > select the screen scheme you like to update then check the associated screen with View/Create/Edit operations and be sure all are updated according to your requirements

Yes, that's where I'm going and all of the layouts...Create/Edit/View Issue all show the same layout but the existing records are still updated based on the rearranging of fields.

There is nothing play with the order or the fields except the screen scheme for view/create operation. I would recommend to double check if it doesn't work I'm really sorry but I can't provide more help :(
