Change of auto-assignee in a workflow

Good Morning

I've been asked to change auto-assignees in a few workflows when a certain transition is triggered / status is started

This isn't a default in the project setting and i've also checked post functions / triggers / automation and can't see these set up anywhere

Maybe there is something i've missed?

Hi,

This was biting me as well for a while. I managed to find a different 'new' place introduced by Atlassian which was messing with auto assignee.

Project Settings -> Components.

Within this, if issues are mapped to one of the components and if the component has a default assignee, this will override project's default assignee.

By default, annoyingly, it was mentioned as 'Project lead' rather than 'Project default'.

In the post functions have you checked "Update Issue Field"? By default Assignee is selected.

You have three options here, depending on your requirements you can adjust them:

• Unassigned
• Automatic
• Blank radio button - here you can enter the name of the person that issue needs to be assigned to (this will happen everytime when the transition is made within the statuses that you have defined it)
