We tried to change the rank of an issue in backlog.

First, we had the issue that the board filter was not sorted by rank. So we fixed that (the filter is simply "project = xyz order by rank asc").

When we try to do it now, we get an error popup, saying

"Something's gone wrong
Refresh the page and try again."

Refreshing the page doesn't help. Even force-refresh not.

Incognito mode of Chrome, trying another browser also doesn't help.

Log out, log in again also doesn't help.

Also tried via context menu (... > Move to > Move up), same result.

The permissions "Edit Issues" and "Schedule Issues" are given (checked via permission helper).

Hi @Björn Kruse and welcome to the Community!

From what you describe, there does not seem to be much more you can do. Your board filter and everything else seems very much what it should be. If it is true you are on a standard plan, than you are entitled to contact Atlassian support directly for help (https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/). I would raise a support ticket there, as they have access to your Jira log files to find out what's happening.

Hope this helps!

Thanks Walter, we'll check all details again to be sure it is not a mistake on our side. Then file a ticket at Atlassian support, if needed.
