We are looking at changing our process to have dev tickets with a workflow and QA tickets with a different workflow. We want to separate this work for easier tracking of dev complete tickets.
I already have an automation rule that will create a QA ticket when a dev ticket is created. The QA ticket will start in an Open status. What I would like to be able to do is update the QA ticket status to "Ready for Testing" when the dev ticket status is changed to Dev Complete.
Any help on how to do this is appreciated. Thanks
Hi @David when you create the initial issue make sure you add a step to Link both issues if you haven't already.
Then with another rule with an "issue transitioned" trigger you can set it that if the issue was moved to Dev completed then within the branches component you should see the linked issues option there and on it you set the transition issue action.
Sorry I can't add pics to make this easier. I'm on my mobile at the moment.
Hope it helps good enough
